Pete Fein is a software engineer and with more than 20 years experience in Python and open source software development. He is an expert in expert in Python and data engineering, and is the founder of Snakedev, a boutique software consultancy. He was an Internet activist during the Arab Spring, and his work and global impact was featured in major media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Wired, The Guardian, BBC, and The Washington Post.

Pete has been a speaker at the conferences of Google, Mozilla, Pycon, Yale Law School, and many others. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago with a dual-degree in Computer Science and Economics, and lives in Pittsburgh, where he runs the Pittsburgh Python Meetup. A student of yoga, Pete stands on his head every day.
